Each year, Woda Cooper Companies runs Woda Santa, a nationwide holiday giving initiative designed to support residents—of all ages—who might otherwise go without gifts during the holiday season.
Local property teams nominate residents within their communities, and from those nominations we build individualized gift plans. What began as a well-intentioned idea has grown into a large-scale, multi-state operation, delivering meaningful holiday moments to families across the country.
Last year alone, through a combination of internal donations and generous contributions from partners, we provided gifts to more than 1,000 residents!

My Role & Contribution
I helped design and manage the operational backbone that makes Woda Santa possible at scale.
That included:
- Structuring the nomination and data collection process
- Organizing recipient data
- Coordinating bulk purchasing across hundreds of communities
- Implementing an automation script to handle ordering and shipping logistics
The system allows a small central team to research, purchase, and distribute thousands of items and stay on budget during one of the busiest times of year—without overwhelming local staff.
Why This Project Matters
Holiday giving at scale isn’t just about generosity—it’s about execution. Without structure, good intentions can quickly become unmanageable.
Most importantly, this kind of planning and organization helps turn a complex logistical challenge into something simple and joyful for the people who matter most.
Woda Santa is one of those projects where technology quietly supports humanity—and I’m proud to be part of making that happen each year.
