When Woda Cooper Companies needed a modern corporate website, the goal wasn’t just a redesign—it was to create a long-term digital foundation for a company operating across 18 states, hundreds of communities, and multiple business lines.
What the company ultimately launched at www.wodagroup.com was not a template, not a theme, and not a repackaged marketing site. It is a custom-built solution built on a modular WordPress CMS, designed to grow with the organization.
And I built it in one month, at no cost, when outside vendors estimated over $30,000 and several months of development.

The Challenge
A corporate website in real estate development has to do many things at once:
- Represent the brand to lenders, municipalities, and partners
- Showcase communities to residents
- Present leadership and credibility
- Support recruitment
- Feed marketing, PR, and leasing
- And remain accurate across hundreds of properties
At scale, a manually updated website becomes a liability. One outdated phone number, one old photo, or one incorrect description can undermine trust instantly.
So instead of building a static site, I built a live system.
What I Built

A Fully Custom Platform
The site was built from the ground up—not from a pre-made theme—so every page, layout, and interaction was designed specifically for how Woda Cooper operates.
I also developed custom plug-ins and integration that allow the website to:
- Mass-update company statistics across the site
- Dynamically update boilerplate information as it changes
- And stay aligned with our internal systems
- Dynamically add new locations to the company map
Those plug-ins connect directly to The Data Pile—my homemade structured property and asset database—so the core site stays accurate without manual editing—allowing our PR team to focus on content rather than upkeep.
Modular, Future-Proof Design
Every design choice—from photo ratios to layout grids—was made with long-term flexibility in mind.
The technologies used are modular, meaning:
- Individual systems can be swapped out
- Layouts can evolve
- Features can expand without requiring a full rebuild
This protects the company from being locked into obsolete tech, as we were with our previous setup.
SEO-Focused Growth Engine
I built dedicated, SEO-optimized pages for:
- Development
- Construction
- Property management
- Community impact
- And affordable housing—including targeting programs we utilize and audiences we super-serve
Built for Real People
The site was designed so that non-technical staff can safely update content without risking breakage. To support that, I:
- Created detailed documentation
- Built user-permission systems
- Defined safe editing workflows
This ensures the site stays usable, even as staff changes.

Thoughtful Security
- Two-factor authentication
- Forced strong passwords
- User-based permissions (no universal admin access)
- Elaborate suspicious activity detection & blocking
- Strict geo-fencing restrictions to stop bot farms and foreign attacks
- AI-powered smart firewall
This protects the site—and the data behind it—while still keeping it easy to use.
Why It Mattered
In real estate development, a corporate website is not just marketing—it’s reputation.
Cities, banks, partners, and residents all decide whether to trust you based on what they see online.
By building a custom, secure, data-connected, and future-proof platform, I gave Woda Cooper a digital presence that reflects the scale, professionalism, and reliability of the company itself.
And I did it faster—and better—than the $30,000 solutions we were offered.
